Manchester Takes Third at 2023 HCAC Indoor Championships; Brubaker and Camp Earn HCAC MVP Honors

Manchester University's women's indoor track and field team took third place at the 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 25 The Spartans finished the day with 89 team points. 

Hannah Brubaker (Goshen, Ind., NorthWood) earned Women's Most Outstanding Distance Athlete of the Year honors. 

Carley Camp (Logansport, Ind., Logansport) was named HCAC Women's Most Outstanding Throws Athlete of the Year.

In the first event of the day, Hannah Brubaker took the top spot on the women's 5,000 meter run with a time of 19:44.73. Brubaker also picked up first in the 3,000 meter run, crossing the finish line in a time of 11:27.37. 

On the field side, Carley Camp won the weight throw with a toss of 15.09 meters. Camp also took first in the shot put, with a throw of 13.55 setting a new HCAC Championship Meet record and a new Manchester school record. Camp's distance currently sits at 16th in the nation.
