Lancers battle on day two of NCCAA Championships

Grace's men's golf team will look to the final round to move up the leaderboard at the NCCAA National Championships. After 36 holes, the Lancers (639) currently sit in eighth place after posting a 322 in round two. A group is clustered together with 10 strokes separating four teams heading into the final round.

Blake Lawson continues to lead the way for Grace, posting an 80 on day two. His 153 over two rounds ranks him in the top 15. He added two birdies on the day to go along with eight pars.

Parker Wilburn stayed consistent with an 81 in the second round. He carded two birdies and eight pars to finish with a two-day total of 161.

Chase Byron (171) cut five strokes off his opening round score to finish with an 83 in round two. Tristen Dubbs (167) also made a big jump, going 11 strokes better on the second day to jump ahead eight spots on the leaderboard.

Isaac Embry rounded out the scoring on day two with an 85 to put him in a tie with teammate Wilburn in the overall standings.

The Lancers will tee off in the final round on Wednesday morning with a national champion being crowned at the conclusion of play.
