Grace wins again at Eagle Glen
Just three weeks into the season, Grace's women's golf team has picked up its second tournament win of the season.
The Lancers posted a score of 618, the third best two-round score in program history. Grace's second round carded a 305, just two strokes behind their best round ever.
The mark of 618 was 39 strokes better than their closest competition.
Summer Stillson led the Lady Lancers with a 152. Her overall mark, and first round score of 74 were both top ten marks for the program.
Carolyn Pacocha was close behind posting scores of 76 and 77, good for a fourth-place finish.
Brette Hanavan notched a fifth-place finish with identical rounds of 79.
Grace May and Hannah Godfrey tied with scores of 159.
Lucy Young withdrew after one round, but scored an 80 in her 18 holes of action.
The Lancers "B" team, which posted a score of 711, was led by Sydney Cesare who posted a 162.
Abigail Fishel's mark of 175 was good for 19th in the tournament.
Brittney Klotz (187) and Abby Slabaugh (187) each turned in top 25 performances. Raigan King posted a 36-hole total of 217.
"I Couldn't be more pleased with how our girls played today," said Grace head coach Denny Duncan. "We want to be recognized as a top 25 team in the nation and these are the results we need."
Next up for Grace is the Lawrence Tech Invitational on Monday.
