Grace mourns the loss of Lyne Camara
Grace College's athletic department is saddened to announce the passing of track and field athlete Lyne Camara.
Camara passed away during the week of June 19 while at home in Belgium.
Camara just completed her third year of college and was scheduled to graduate next May with a degree in biology.
She was a remarkable and accomplished student-athlete on Grace's track and field team.
She holds seven school records across indoor and outdoor track and earned nine NCCAA All-American honors.
Additionally, she won six NCCAA individual national championships across various events during her sterling career.
"We are devastated by this news and the loss of Lyne," said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe.
"Our prayers are with Lyne's family, friends, teammates and coaching staff.
Lyne touched many people here at Grace, and she will be deeply missed on our campus."
