Lancers ranked No. 8 for NAIA Program of the Year
After a groundbreaking athletic year, Grace's cross country and track and field teams were honored with a top-10 finish in the NAIA.
The men's program was ranked No. 8 for the NAIA Program of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The USTFCCCA Program of the Year Award honors the institution that has achieved the most success in each academic year, spanning the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field. The ranking takes into account each school's finish at the NAIA Championships.
The men's cross country team placed 22nd at cross country nationals, 18th at the indoor track and field championships and 10th at the outdoor track and field championships. Grace's combined score placed the program No. 8 in the NAIA overall.
It marks Grace's first appearance in the final rankings of the USTFCCCA Program of the Year.
Grace's women also had a stellar year. The women's cross country squad placed 15th at NAIAs and 23rd at the outdoor track and field championships.
The distance squad is coached by Jake Poyner while the track and field program is coached by Michael Moffitt.
