Griffin tabbed as CoSIDA Academic All-America
Chris Griffin of Grace's baseball team picked up a national honor.
Griffin was named to the CoSIDA Academic Second Team All-America, registering one of the highest academic honors in program history.
CoSIDA honors deserving student-athletes for both athletic and academic accomplishments. CoSIDA selects honorees at both the district and national levels.
Griffin posted a 3.50 GPA as a sport management major. He batted .311 as a senior this spring, producing 7 home runs, 11 doubles and 38 RBIs.
He completed his Lancer career ranked in the top-10 in most offensive statistical categories. He finished by being ranked No. 3 in all-time home runs (20), No. 4 in hits (159), No. 5 in triples (8), No. 6 in RBIs (97), No. 7 in runs (93) and No. 9 in doubles (30).
