Griffin honored as CoSIDA All-District

A number of players from Grace College's baseball team were honored for their performance in the classroom.

Eleven Lancers were given Scholar-Athlete distinction, and Chris Griffin picked up an individual honor as well.

Griffin was named CoSIDA Academic All-District. He was one of 13 players represented at the NAIA District 2 (Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee) for All-District. CoSIDA honorees are selected based on both academic and athletic success (minimum GPA of at least 3.30).

Grace garnered the fifth-most Scholar-Athletes among all NCCAA institutions. To achieve Scholar-Athlete status, a player must have a GPA of 3.40 or greater). Griffin joined teammates Kyle Aten, Tanner Clark, Patrick Danforth, Evan Etchison, Mason Meyer, Sam Newkirk, Jeff Pawlik, Ike Peterson, Zach Platt and Philip Wertz as Scholar-Athletes.
