Grace College Athletics recently issued the following announcement.
Lancers brave adverse weather at Trine
Grace's men's golf team fought through an unusually cold and windy April day at the Trine Invitational on Saturday.
The Lancers placed fifth out of 13 teams at the Zollner Golf Course, competing largely against NCAA Div. III opponents.
Blake Lawson shot a 75 to place 13th in a crowded field. He was one stroke out of a top-seven finish and four strokes off the round leader.
Noah Wright (76) and Parker Wilburn (77) finished just behind Lawson on the individual leaderboard.
Payton Kelly carded an 81, and Chase Byron (85) completed Grace's scoring.
Tristen Dubbs (81) and Eric Haegeland (86) also competed for the Lancers in the event.

The Lancers compete again on Monday with the Sagamore Shootout at the Sagamore Country Club.
